After a stellar run on the festival circuit, Leonora Pitts’ debut short film,  God I Hope I Get It, is finally online, and we here at I See the Frog are happy to share! God I Hope I Get It made a splash at many prestigious film festivals, including Women’s Independent Film Festival, The Brooklyn Girl Film Festival, Atlanta’s Out On Film, The Seattle Lesbian and Gay Film Fest, The Provincetown Film Festival, The Vinokino LGBT Film Fest in Finland, and Outfest (just to name a bunch). It also screened as part of Drama 3/4 and Schmoes Know’s Offline Movie Night (back when the film was still offline)!

This movie is packed to the rafters with Friends of the Frog. Take a look at the synopsis:

When Parvesh’s loyal hag Isabella decides to get married, the two must audition a paltry series of replacements.

That’s a reference to co-writer and co-star Parvesh Cheena who is always doing a million things; most recently, he played the recurring role of Dinesh in the hit NBC sitcom A to Z! He can also be seen putting the “hench” in “henchman” in the Drama 3/4 classic Keller and Sullivan in ‘Shanghai Surprise’!

Other amazing cameos in God I Hope I Get It include It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia‘s Mary Elizabeth Ellis and Artemis Pebdani, as well as YouTube sensation Lisa Schwartz who will be featured on an upcoming episode of Crash Pad!

Stay tuned for more from Leonora! She is currently in post production on her second short film, Step Nine. And you’ll get a chance to catch her and hubby Scott Pitts on upcoming episodes of the new Duplass Brothers/HBO comedy Togetherness! More on that soon…

Enjoy this treat, and be sure to hop around those links and check out all our friends’ wonderful projects! Break a leg, froggies!
