As seen on Deadline.com, longtime Friend of the Frog James Lesure has booked a co-starring role on ABC’s upcoming Uncle Buck pilot. “Wh–?! You mean??” Exactly. The beloved John Hughes comedy is getting a television makeover, and James (or “Jazz,” as we know him) is jumping onboard to battle the forces of immaturity!

Here’s what Deadline had to say:

James Lesure (Men At Work) is set to co-star opposite Mike Epps in Uncle BuckABC‘s single-camera comedy pilot based on the classic John Hughes film starring John Candy. Like the movie, the series adaptation, written by Steven Cragg and Brian Bradley, centers on Buck Russell (Epps), a childish man who learns how to be an adult by taking care of the kids of his younger yet more accomplished brother Will (Lesure) in a very childish way. Nia Long plays Will’s wife in the project from Universal TV and Will Packer Prods.

You might recognize James as a series regular on many TV shows including Vegas, Mr. Sunshine and Men At Work, not to mention his appearances in a number of Drama 3/4 Productions… such as this charming performance in their Star Wars Episode VII Screen Test:

Hearty congratulations to “Jazz” from everyone here at I See the Frog for being a part of this exciting project!
