Oh the 90’s…

Here is a little gem that a froggie dug up and dragged off an old VHS tape. See the Nerdist himself Chris Hardwick introducing Scott Pitts, David Fickas and Toby Semain’s band Komic Strip at the Whisky A Go-Go during the summer of 1995. Fickas and a handful of Frogs had the pleasure of trying to win women on MTV’s Singled Out. (Remember that?)

Shortly after that, Chris came out to the Whisky to rock out with the boys from Arcadia and was happy to introduce the show after leading the crowd in the Pledge of Allegiance. Enjoy his patriotic introduction, his retort to the crowd’s disappointment that he was not Jenny McCarthy, as well as KS’s rendition of the Go Go’s “Vacation”. This may have been the show that Tia Carrere was at? Or was this the show that KS opened for 21 Jump Street’s Richard Grieco? Who knows… it was the 90’s. The memories are a little blurry.

But this isn’t just a Nerdist name drop! (Maybe it is.) BUT… you can also see KS perform their song “I See The Frog” and see the seeds of this very website being planted right there between Fickas’ crappy goatee and Pitts’ stylish hat.
